TEACHING

Edgar is an experienced educator based in Lymm, Cheshire, specialising in piano, violin and saxophone lessons. Previously, he has tutored privately across a range of subjects as well as instrumental lessons, including English and Maths at primary level. He has worked with age ranges from 4-18 and is confident with supporting additional learning needs across all levels of ability. Across lockdowns and restrictions, he gained experience with online tuition across different platforms and can be flexible in accommodating different logistical and health concerns where possible. He has valid enhanced DBS and First Aid certificates and takes measures to ensure pupils' safety at all times.

Edgar's teaching approach is based fundamentally on the belief that music lessons should, above all else, be an enjoyable experience that helps people grow in more ways than just their instrumental ability. He prides himself on his communication skills and will go above and beyond to ensure a welcoming and warm experience. He focuses on attitude as much as skills, and encourages a level of self-commitment and desire to improve whilst tailoring to individual needs. Most of all, he wants to have fun and for his pupils to have fun too!
